City Utilities

The City of Grovetown operates a municipally-owned water, wastewater and stormwater utility serving the residents of Grovetown. Electricity is provided by Georgia Power Co., natural gas is provided by several gas companies, telephone service is available from several providers and cable TV and internet are provided by WOW communications and Comcast.

The city water department is responsible for the treatment and distribution of drinking water and handles the collection, treatment, and disposal of wastewater (sanitary sewage) and manages the collection and disposal of stormwater for the City of Grovetown.

The city owns and operates 4 wells, 3 water storage tanks, 2 booster stations and a wastewater treatment facility along with 7 lift stations. In addition, our department repairs, replaces, builds and maintains all water and sewer mains as well as stormwater systems throughout the city.

New Debit & Credit Card Transaction Fees
​Effective February 1, 2016 the City will begin charging a fee for all credit and debit card transactions.  The fee will be $1.00 per transaction on utility payments.  If a Water and Sewer tap is purchased there will be a fee of 3% of the total amount due.  
Establish, Transfer or Disconnect Water Service

To establish, transfer, or disconnect your water service or questions about your utility bill, contact: the Utility Billing Department during normal business hours at 706-863-4576.  Service can also be established by completing the water, sewer and garbage service application form and bringing it to Grovetown City Hall along with a valid state or federal issued ID and your closing papers (if you purchased property) or lease agreement (if you are renting property).  

Pay Your Water Bill Online
City of Grovetown has partnered with NexBillPay to extend an additional payment option for customers interested in using their check, debit card or credit card to pay their bill. NexBillPay is a trusted 3rd party automated payment service that allows you to pay your bill online.
