Public Works

The Public Works Department provides many essential city services, such as recycling, rough trash collection, bulky item pickup, street maintenance, traffic sign and signal maintenance, street lighting and other essential services.

The Public Works Department also ensures that the city's roadways, streets, drainage, and other infrastructure are safe, clean, and attractive. The men and women of this department also maintain the city fleet, from riding lawn mowers to fire trucks, and operate the waste and wastewater treatment facilities.
Construction workers direct large truck.
This department supports other city operating departments with cost-effective planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance of all public facilities, physical assets and city-owned public infrastructure.
