The general public is hereby notified that the City of Grovetown Planning Commission will hold a public hearing in the Council Chambers of Grovetown City Hall, 103 Old Wrightsboro Road, on Thursday September 17, 2020 at 6:00 PM to consider Text Amendment to the Grovetown Zoning Ordinance, Article III, City Center Districts. This district is also known as Form Based Code Area.The Mayor and City Council during the regular meeting of August 10, 2020 approved and adopted the recommendations made by the Form Based Code Committee. The Committee recommended selective Text Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance, Article III, City Center District. In general, the text amendment, if approved, will allow more assessed value, unlimited routine maintenance and ordinary repair, and selective addition to the nonconforming structures.All those in favor or objecting to this proposed Text Amendment should be present to voice their support or objections at the Public Hearing.
