CSRA Regional Commission - Community Listening Session

Tuesday, July 17, 2018

Let your voice be heard!

The Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) Regional Commission is creating a plan for the future of our area and needs your input. A community listening session will be held on July 17, 2018 in the council chambers of  Grovetown’s City Hall from 5pm to 7pm.  The Regional Commission staff will be discussing information and insights gained so far, regional goals, and potential projects.  Also, in partnership with Georgia Organics and the Augusta Food Oasis, we will be conducting an asset-mapping activity to capture the locations of community gardens, farms, and other local food assets in Columbia County and the surrounding area.

Refreshments will be provided.

Please take a few minutes to help shape our community for tomorrow and have impact on the projects that we decide to undertake by visiting this drop-in with Regional Commission and Georgia Organics staff.

If you cannot make the meeting please take our online survey to share your thoughts and opinions. The survey can be found at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/YM79XBB. There will also be computers available at the meeting on July 17th to complete this survey.

The CSRA Regional Plan is the long-range plan for the management of the region’s projected growth by local governments and the CSRA Regional Commission. The Plan’s horizon is twenty years but will be updated to address changing regional conditions. The CSRA’s vision and goals, together with an appraisal of socioeconomic, land use, and
environmental opportunities and threats, will set the strategic direction for the regional agenda. The regional agenda establishes program priorities for implementation.
