City of Grovetown Annual Fire Hydrant Testing & Flushing

The City of Grovetown’s Fire Department personnel will conduct annual fire hydrant testing and flushing Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, July 10th - 12th, between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. since the subject areas are in commercial corridors in the following areas: the 5000 to 5400 block of Wrightsboro Road; KJ’s Market (Grovetown Centre); Walmart Neighborhood Grocery; CVS; Walgreens; the former Food Lion Plaza; West Robinson Avenue; East Robinson Avenue; Horizon South Parkway; and the 100 to 300 block of Harlem Grovetown Road.

Residents in the affected subdivisions and areas may experience low water pressure and cloudy or brown water during the testing. The water discoloration is not harmful but could stain laundry so affected residents are advised to avoid using their washing machines during this time and to test that their water has returned to clear before doing laundry.
