Hydrant Flushing and Testing:
The Grovetown Department of Public Safety Fire-Rescue Division will be performing Hydrant Flushing & Testing within in the next 48 hours (Tuesday thru Thursday, August 22-24, 2017) from the 5000 Block of Wrightsboro Road through Wrightsboro Road at Adams Lane, to include the hydrants located at Walmart Neighborhood Market, KJ’s Grocery, Babcock Furniture, CVS, Walgreens, and Food Lion; along Horizon South Parkway from the City Limits near Augusta Tech south to Wrightsboro Road.. Homes/Businesses in these subdivisions and areas may see a drop in water pressure or discolored water. If you notice that your water is discolored you can run the cold water faucet inside, or outside of your home. DO NOT wash any clothes until the water runs clear. If your water does not run clear within a few minutes please contact Grovetown City Hall during normal business hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm at 706-863-4576 or after hours please call 706-863-1212.
New Wastewater Treatment Plant Construction Fee:
The new wastewater treatment plant construction fee will be used to pay for the construction of a new wastewater treatment plant in the City of Grovetown. The fee will be added to all wastewater (sewer service) customers beginning in June 2017. Additional information can be found HERE. This information will also be mailed with all utility bills before beginning in June.
