Horace Kitchens is a true Grovetownian, having been born and raised in the City. An electrician by trade, Horace has served as City Building Inspector for nearly 15 years. Before joining the City, Horace worked in the private sector for almost 20 years, during which time he earned a number of certifications, primarily in the electrical field. During his time with the City, he has earned several additional certifications including those in property maintenance, emergency response, life safety, fire inspection, soil and erosion control, and commercial building inspection. Horace has been recognized as department employee of the year four times.
