The City of Grovetown Public Works Department is currently conducting road paving projects between the hours of 7AM until finished each day. Citizens may see painted locate marks indicating the paving location sites. Please expect travel, trash pickup, and bulk/yard waste pickup issues within the areas of work. Project areas include:Reynolds CircleReynolds WayKatherine Street from E Robinson Avenue to the tracksAs of June 28th, we are in the cement hardening process. This will be complete on June 29th, after which, asphalt can be laid; crews are projecting this process to begin after the July 4th holiday. Crews have also encountered a problem with groundwater, causing compaction issues in the construction area. For safety reasons, construction cannot take place until the area has dried out. The team being utilized is out of Atlanta, and those in charge of monitoring this project would like to accomplish everything at the same time in order to complete work as efficiently as possible. Paving on Katherine Street will run concurrently with paving in Reynolds Pond.All work is subject to change based on weather. ***RESIDENTS WILL NEED TO REMOVE ALL PARKED VEHICLES FROM THE ROADWAY DURING THIS TIMEFRAME***We thank you for your patience as we work to keep your roads in good condition.
